A shooting outside a North Trenton convenience store Friday morning left a man with three gunshot wounds. The shooting took place in front of the V & C Supermarket at the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Wayne Avenue.

Woman robbed in Wilbur

A city woman was robbed of her wallet Wednesday night, February 20, on the 100 block of Garfield Avenue. The 36-year-old victim was walking back to her home at 6:12 p.m. when a masked man in black clothing approached her from behind saying he had a gun. The suspect demanded the keys to the victim’s house, but the victim refused to give them up. The suspect then snatched the woman’s wallet before fleeing the scene.

Man robbed at gunpoint

A city man lost his money, his cell phone, and his painkillers when he was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on Hamilton Avenue Tuesday, February 19. The 39-year-old victim was walking on the 1100 block of Hamilton Avenue around 12:20 p.m. when he was approached by two men. One of the two men who accosted the victim was allegedly armed with a handgun. As the armed man brandished the handgun, they took cash, the cell phone, and prescription medication from the victim. The two robbers soon fled the scene on foot. The two suspects were described with similar features: black men, about 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build; but one was wearing a gray hoodie, the other dressed all in black clothing with a mask and armed with a handgun.

Hamilton AT&T store robbed

Masked men made off with $15,000 worth of the newest iPhones when they robbed an AT&T store at gunpoint Tuesday evening, February 19. Three robbers burst into the AT&T store on the 700 block of Route 33 around 7 p.m. At least one of them, possibly two, were armed with handguns. Ordering all the employees into the back of the building, the suspects took cell phones from the workers and dumped the phones into the trash. The robbers then gathered up 23 iPhone 5 devices, and fled on foot. All the suspects were wearing masks and gloves, and police did not have full descriptions of them.

Trenton records 4th homicide

Sixteen year old Marcus Hunter was shot and killed on Beakes Street in North Trenton. The victim was shot around 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, near the Donnelly Homes housing complex. Nearby residents said they heard several gunshots.

More than a year later, information still sought

I’Kime Melvin was Trenton’s first homicide victim of 2012. Melvin, who was paralyzed and wheelchair bound, was found dead in an apartment in the city’s Island neighborhood on January 16 of last year.

To date, no arrests have been made in the case. Crime Stoppers is still offering up to $1000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of person(s) in this case.

The subject(s) have hit multiple stores in Cherry Hill, Somerdale, and as of Tuesday night, January 8, Cinnaminson. Each time they watch from outside the door and as soon as the cashier walks away from the front for a minute, the suspect walks behind the counter and takes 60-70 packs of cigarettes.

Ewing police seek Friday night shooter

Ewing township police are investigating after a 25-year-old man was shot in the neck Friday evening, January 4. Police were dispatched to the area of Prospect Street and Homestead Avenue at 7:17 p.m. after receiving a report of shots being fired. Arriving officers found the victim, who had been shot once in the neck. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he underwent surgery before being released on Saturday. Police believe there was a single shooter, though they did not provide a full description.

Man shot during attempted robbery

A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg Christmas Day after scuffling with a man who tried to rob him. The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. while the victim was walking on the 100 block of Oakland Street. The suspect appeared and told the victim to give it up. The two struggled, and when the victim started running away the would-be robber fired several shots at him with a handgun.

The shooter is described as a black man in his 20s, approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black mask and was armed with a handgun,
