  • June 27 --- A city man was stabbed in the head late Sunday night on Jersey Street and is hospitalized in critical condition.
     

  • June 27 --- On Sunday, a shooting of a 21 year old Trenton man occurred at approximately 4:28 pm inside an apartment located in the 100 block of Oakland Street.  The victim was found seated on a couch suffering from a gunshot wound to his left eye. The victim was very uncooperative and refused to give any pertinent details as to what transpired inside the apartment.  The victim was immediately transported to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center to be treated.  The victim’s condition was critical and it was believed that he was not going to make it, but after undergoing emergency surgery and to the credit of the attending physicians his condition was upgraded and he was stabilized.

     
  • June 24 --- A 37-year-old male, told police he was arguing with another male on the 800 block of Brunswick Avenue at about 11:40 Thursday morning.  The victime couldn’t, or wouldn’t, say who the other man was or why they fought, but he told police the man pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg. The victim fled the scene and ran into Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment and the police were notified.  The only description provided of the subject was a black male wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.

  • June 23 --- the following crimes were reported in the Trentonian as having occurred Wednesday:

    • 12:21 a.m., 90 block Sweets Avenue: The victim, a 20-year-old Trenton man, was walking to his car when two suspects, one brandishing a small black pistol, approached and demanded money.  The victim reportedly got in his car to drive away and discovered his rear window shattered. Police said the victim “was very uncooperative, and no evidence of shots fired was found at the scene.” A police “Shot Spotters” program that “hears” and pinpoints gunfire in city streets didn’t activate. Both suspects were described as African American males, 5-feet-5. The gunman wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans, the other had no shirt on.

    • 9:40 a.m., at an apartment, 7 Beakes St: It was reported that an African American female and two African American males assaulted a 39-year-old male victim who, during a dispute, “was assaulted with a glass piggy bank jar and ... punched about the face and body.” The victim was treated at Fuld “for a laceration to the left side of his face from the temple to the lower cheek,” Medina reported. “(He) received 34 sutures and (was) released.”

    • 8:18 p.m. The victim was a 12-year-old Hispanic boy who was walking alone in the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue.  “(H)e was approached by an African American suspect who after calling him ‘little guy’ pushed him to the ground and went through his backpack, depriving the victim of his PSP and earphones,” reported Medina. The suspect was described as a 20-to-30-year-old African American male, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

    • 11:40 p.m., corner of Hamilton Avenue and Franklin Street, report of a robbery. Officers found the victim going in and out of consciousness. As he was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center at Fuld, the victim stopped breathing twice. He had suffered a head injury and was admitted to the critical care unit under guarded condition. “It was learned that the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with four suspects,” Medina reported. “One of the suspects punched the victim causing him to fall to the ground. While the victim was on the ground, the suspects took his wallet and a bracelet and entered a silver Pontiac Grand Am and drove away.” Suspects: Four African Americans wearing dark clothing.
       

  • June 21 --- Trenton Police were assigned to investigate an aggravated assault shooting that occurred at approximately 3:30 pm on Monday in front of a residence located in the 600 block of New Willow Street.  The following victims were inside the house:

        • 18 year old male

        • 55 year old female

        • 17 year old female

        • 17 year old male

    It was reported that shots were fired at this location.  It was learned that when a 17-year-old male victim was in the process of exiting his home he observed two individuals acting suspiciously, which prompted him to close the front door and to get back inside his house.  At this time the 17 year old victim looked out his window and heard shots fired.  During the time of the shooting the other two victims,(18 year old male and 17 year old female), were on the second floor. No one was injured during the incident. The suspects were described as black males, with one wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and the other wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

  • June 17 ---  Trenton Police  are investigating a robbery/home invasion that occurred on Thursday at approximately 3:30 a.m. in a residence located in the 100th block of Ashmore Avenue, Trenton, NJ.  The victims were two Hispanic males, 34 year old and 45 years old. The suspects were 3 to 4 males. It was reported that the 34-year-old victim opened the residence front door after he heard a knock, which prompted the suspects to enter. The 34-year-old victim was assaulted, but didn’t suffer any serious injury.  Both the 34-year-old victim and the 45-year-old victim were restrained and a pillow and blanket respectively was put over their heads. The victims were deprived of approximately $380.00 dollars in U.S. currency, twenty movie DVD’s, a VCR and cell phones.

  • June 16 --- It was reported a Kingsbury resident was pistol whipped and robbed of a brand new pair of boots. At one point, the suspect gained access to the victim’s apartment and maced the victim. At this time, the suspect began to assault the victim with a silver handgun, while demanding money.  Then he grabbed the Timberlands and left. The suspect is described as a 25-year-old African-American, 5-foot-7, 150 to 155 pounds, with dark skin and short hair, wearing a white tank top, black sweatpants, brown Timberland boots and armed with that silver handgun.

  • June 15 --- Trenton Police are investigating an armed robbery/aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday at approximately 11:21 p.m. inside an apartment located in the 300 block of Chestnut Avenue.  The victim was identified as a 21-year-old male. It was reported that while the victim was in the living room two black males entered his residence armed with a semiautomatic handgun and while inside demanded the victim’s property.  The victim was shot once in his right lower leg calf area. At this time the suspects deprived the victim of his watch, $10.00 dollars in U.S. currency, a necklace and a silver cell phone. The first suspect was described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans, a black wave cap and the second suspect was described as black male wearing a red shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and dark jeans.
